I am a certified Trichologist since 2022, based in Caithness, Scotland.
​
I am delighted to have opened the first Trichology clinic in Caithness, offering consultations and treatments for an array of hair and scalp concerns.
​
My aim as a Trichologist is to provide clarity, understanding and knowledge to a variety of hair and scalp complaints, as well as offer holistic solutions and treatments to my clients.

My Trichology Story
My love of hair began over 20 years ago, working as an apprentice in an Orkney hair salon. Since then I have worked and assisted in many salons in Stirling, London and Caithness before teaching and assessing within the Hair & Beauty department at UHI Thurso.
​
As a hairstylist I would often be asked about hair loss and scalp health. On many occasions I would hear how clients were struggling with their hair loss or flaky scalp and felt they had nowhere to turn for help, even after speaking to medical professionals.
​
So I made it my mission to find the answers by learning more, and in doing so I fell in love with the world of Trichlology.
​
Currently I hold a Certificate in Trichology (CIT), I have a keen interest in herbal and holistic care, focusing a lot of my attention to the root causes of the conditions and not just on the symptoms.
I am a member of the World Trichology Society (WTS), and attend many further educational events both online and in person to keep up with the latest research in hair and scalp health.

The Holistic Trichologist Clinic is located on Davidsons Lane, Thurso, offers a range of trichology services and a small selection of hair styling services. Here I aim to promote healthy hair and scalp care, education my clients, support those managing hair and scalp related concerns, and offer a private, calm and relaxing environment while doing so, as I fully understand just how unsettling and stressful any hair loss or scalp complaint can be.

This is the first and only Trichology Clinic north of Inverness, and I'm so excited and pleased to offer this much needed service to our local community.
